ISSUES..ISSUES..

salam

TELEVISION

quite sometime since i last watches RTM 1 and 2. after astro came into my life, i thought there is no need for me to see that particular station. well..lots of reason..of course one of it is because this station has been severely abuse to air government propaganda against anyone that is not side with them.

not much of different right now but something interest me. i noted now there is a lot of short2 film that teach us the right value and inform us the current health issue and preventive measures. for me, this should be their main objective as to be a responsible TV stations. enough said.

MINISTERS

lately i notice that our minister are brave enough to say in public about their policy of not engaging with opposition held state. started with our DPM statement during the Manek Urai election, they simply say in public that if we are not with them, they will not help us in whatever ways. in the Manek Urai context: the bridge connecting manek urai baru and manek urai lama. they spoke without any shame as a leader that is suppose to take care of rakyat regardless of their affiliation. furthermore, manek urai is under KESEDAR and it is of course their obligation to provide the people there with the necessary needs.

the second one of course by our agricultural minister who dare says that everyone under his ministry are not allow to attend any function by the government of kedah, kelantan, penang and selangor. reason: the federal government pay their salary and the federal government give the money to do work so why bother to attend others' function. where is the spirit of federalism here? why can't he think for the rakyat beside for his own interest? hmm...

how about our information minister who deny the kelantanese their right to the 5% petronas profit from their offshore activity in Kelantan in his statement? why petronas just keep quite about this when their ex chairman (Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah) already giving his?

SCHOOL START AT FIVE YEARS OLD?

hmm..this one i need to check my facts first. as a general, why need to burden our child with an added compulsory schooling years when they can attend multiple types of kindergarten? is there any hidden agenda there? do we need to send our children to PASTI earlier than that? difficult2..

TEOH AGAIN..

he is currently in the middle of a lot of speculation that is trying not just to tarnish his image but also to tarnish the image of everyone near him. people think that for a big issue like this, is it proper just to have a low level of goverment servant to handle this? isn't that something too big for him to handle? an inquest by a Koroner only? is he daring enough to tell the people that MACC or the government is at fault in this if there is a fault on their side? hmm..pity him.

how about the hi ranking police officer who said in a paper that teoh' s death is almost certain sudden death (suicide) when the next day the DPP who assists in the inquest suddenly came out with a foreign DNA evidence and there are people trying to trap teoh's colleague to be the scapegoat? is this case already concluded?

ISA

which way to go? anti or pro? i like an article in malaysian insider with the topic 'ibarat melepaskan ibrahim ali tersepit'

I AM A MUSLIM

salam,

oh my goodness..here we go again..

i'm talking about the latest disastrous news in our country that is, the death of mr Teoh in the compound of the supposedly the most reliable agency in the country apart from police: MACC.

the sad point is, someone is trying to make this as a racial issue and this is not the first one and will never be the last one in our country.

the one who has all the power to inform our people the truth is using the media that they controlled to tell a lie and trying to deviate the important issue at hand into another racial issue. this is obviously done by someone who is desperate enough to cling into power because they know, in Malaysia, racial sentiment is always there to be manipulated to gain support. in this issue, they are trying to rally all the malay behind them against the other in an issue that is supposedly about fairness above all and not about race at all.

of course they get the support that they wanted from the ground whenever they use the issue and is gaining the momentum with the statement by other leaders in the government that strengthened the believe that this issue is about race. i pity to all of the people that was skewed with this believe and i feel ashamed with them for that.

i am pleased with the statement from our leader in PR that maintained their stand in the issue that is seeking justice for anyone that is being mistreated by any agency or anyone in the country. truth must be trace and reveal.

i, myself, hate to say that i am sick with people who is always play with racial cards. we as muslim fully understand and really believe that everyone deserved just and fairness regardless of their background. no one is superior to the other in term of race. i believe that anyone who play with racial cards will only seeking hatred and injustice. only through islam that we can see the true justice. a muslim will never mistreated someone else just because they are not part of them. there is no colours in islam. islam is for all and everyone deserved the best treatment in islam.

if anyone can ever consider himself as a muslim, i won't think he will ever be trying to incite hatred inside other people's heart. inciting hatred has never been islamic way of life. islam is about peace and love. what has been done by the people with power to incite the fear and hatred is obviously not an islamic way and i doubt it wether this people has ever think as a muslim before they do this if considering he is one of us -a muslim-.

our beloved prophet has never treat his sahabat by colours. if that is the case, Bilal bin Rabah will never be there beside Rasulullah to be one of the most important figure in islam. there will never be a persian or jews in his followers's list if he think that way. can anyone learn from this simple concept of universalism?

why did anyone as powerful as they are resorting in this kind of tactics time and again. it must be poor greed and greed will only let us into despair and destruction.

may Allah save us from this kind of people

YANG USANG DAN REMEH..

assalamualaikum..

Menurutnya:

“in a previous statement a made on religion I mentioned thet this country is a SECULAR state. It means that it is not a muslim state. Islam is the official in this country, but other religions have a right to play their part as far as religion concern.”

Kata beliau selanjutnya: “ a muslim state for Malaysia is definitely out of question, though the muslims would like to see this happen. We have to consider the other races who have helped the country achieved independence.”

TOTAL FAILURE

salam.

well..well..many issues came out lately partly due to the incoming election in manek urai. first, it was about the biasiswa national and the scrapping of 30% requirement of bumiputra share in international company. then come the reverted PPSMI followed by the extravagant style of telling the world he is already 100 days in office and doing a lot of things and last night, the announcement by our TPM that they want to make Manek Urai the agropolitan constituency ONLY IF BN WIN.

the one (actually two)that interested me the most is of course the PPSMI and the biasiswa issue. for me who came from the rural area this two issues are very personal.

Firstly, PPSMI.

personally, it is not about the language per se in this issue. the failure of our government to make good out of this is somehow saddened me. of course there are a lot of pressure regarding the issue of reverting this programme but from what has happened recently we know that this is a failure from day 1 of it implementation. why? instead of improving our children in two front that is english and science/maths, they force our children to move backwards and left behind especially the rural children. the disadvantages that they have was worsened by a poor execution of a good programme. at the end, they are not only inferior in english, maths or science, they are inferior in everything including the education system in their place.

many of us, especially the malays who is always thought to be the worst in english will feel happy when they scrapped the programme but at the same time, they, the government, fail us again. it is obvious that they don't do enough work to make this a success. when i read about our teachers' -partially the black sheep- profiency in english standard was somewhat pathetic (as how they show it), i feel more saddened. what happen with our think tank up there? why such a big programme like this is eventually thrown into the drain after six years. a failure is a failure. there is no such thing as not achieving target.

don't we have enough experts in teaching methodology in our country that can properly draw a good plan for this to be a success in the first place? of course the movement to abolish this programme is justified with this kind of failure. such a good opportunity for our children to get an advantages was ruin by a poorly executed programme. i personally think that there will be no movement to abolish the programme if it was a success. of course everyone will be very happy to see their child proficient in english (i think so).

i really hope that they make good with the announcement of revamping the english teaching strategy in our country. i don't want to here the same old story that our people is not competitive enough to enter the job market due to poor english profiency. i dont want to hear our people that come out from the university dont even have a basic english communication skill.

eventhough many are championing for our language (including the leaders), the reality is our leaders fail us in making sure our mother tongue can succeed even in our country. it is very difficult to go back and to make sure everyone use the language in everything. it is just like barking to a wrong tree. at one side we are trying to preserve our mother tongue but at the other end everything that was done by the leaders was actually destroying the path for us to preserve it. our industries and the big player in our company are already fast becoming an english speaking field that make us left behind if we dont prepare for it. there is the unwritten policy that the job applicants for the international company in our own country must proficient in english.

so what to do..it is a win-lose-lose for us

at the end of the day, it was all about a poor management and poor leadership again.

to be continued...

Seusai solat asar, kami pun meneruskan perjalanan..

akhirat?

"Apabila mati seseorang anak Adam, terputuslah amalannya kecuali tiga perkara, sedekah jariah, ilmu yang diambil orang manfaatnya dan anak yang soleh mendoakannya."

THE FLOATING PRAYING MAT!!

Many of us should notice this news circulating around since last saturday. the alleged floating praying mat picture that was alleged being taken by someone from Negeri Sembilan. it happened in the infamous Masjid Kristal. the famous masjid for tourist who come there just to take the picture.

i'm quite amused with the response from the state religious and information deputy committee chairman regarding the alleged incidence. of course there is no such thing as miracle in the hand of ALLAH and i have no qualm to accept it as something that really happen. the problem is the response that comes after the alleged incidence that fascinate me the most. the Terengganu chief imam use this incident to as a stepping stone to remind every muslim not to neglect their prayers the other guy there has other ideas and i'm agree with him for that.

of course what the imam said is true enough especially to everyone who come to the mosque just to have a look and sightseeing. i did notice that many who came to the mosque arejust coming to take picture. with a lack of respect towards thismosque, they come in buses with their aim just to have a picture or two there. they use the compound to have a rest and even dating. coples taking picture here and there. tourist going into the mosque for sightseeing is just something that i personally not very comfortable with.

we read the statement from the guy below will make us somehow clear what is actually the purpose of building this mosque in the first place. with all the speculation behind this mosque project and how its end up right now i'm afraid this mosque will loss it true function for ibadah and become a symbol for tourism. this makes me remember the similarity with another mosque more than 1400 years ago.

wallahua'lam

i'm quoting this from THE STAR 2 July 2009

"State religious and information deputy committee chairman Muhammad Ramli Nuh said the department was also keen to contact others who had witnessed the incident. “This is an interesting development and we want to get more facts and evidence from eye-witnesses,” he said yesterday.
He said the woman, who happened to visit Crystal Mosque, could provide crucial information as she was the first to capture the phenomenon.
“We want to authenticate whether she took the photograph or obtained it from a third party.”
Muhammad Ramli said the unexplained event could be a divine sign, thus more details were required to enable the state religious department to do the necessary.
“If it actually happened, it could bring about a positive development for Crystal Mosque. Visitors would start making a beeline to the site if the facts and the photograph could be authenticated by a religious body,” he said.

SAKIT TERUJUK (REFERRED PAIN)

argh..tetiba mata saya terasa seperti sakit..sakitnya pula menular sehingga ke pelusuk hati..(macam referred pain pulak)
mata saya bukan ditusuk besi hatta dimasuki habuk sekalipun..
"dik, doktor nak tegur sikit, harap adik tak marah ye..."
spontan dengan wajah kehairanan dia memandang wajah saya..
"tak salah adik nak pakai t-shirt dengan jeans..dengan syarat menutup aurat..lain kali, pakailah t-shirt lengan panjang dan longgar, ye.."
langsung dia tersipu-sipu..

(nafas saya kembali lega bila saya google search 'wanita islam')

TERLAJAK..TERLANJUR..TER..ERRR....

tertulis di dalamnya "refer doctor for uterus larger than date" lalu saya menyemak tarikh akhir haidh ibu hamil tersebut..
"anak sulung, ya dik?" tanya saya.. dia mengangguk tanpa bersuara..
"tarikhnya pasti ke dik?"
"pasti doktor.." suaranya seperti teragak-agak mahu menjawab..
saya semak tarikh perkahwinan..
saya perhatikan reaksinya..nampak masih lagi selamba...
"kalau ikut tarikh kahwin, adik baru dua bulan bernikah, betul kan?" saya menduga..
"betul doktor.."
"sekarang ni doktor nak tanya adik..doktor minta adik bercakap benar..adik mengandung sebelum nikah k?" saya bertanya direct...dia tertunduk..

*****
